Transitional Council Highlights
Highlights of May 22, 2002 Meeting
The Transitional Council (TC) met on May 22, 2002. Some pieces of information from that meeting:
-
The SCP has an office, staffed by the registrar and one support person.
-
The Registration Committee is developing a comprehensive Applicant’s Information Handbook that will
contain detailed information about applying for membership. They hope to have it
completed shortly. It will be available in hard copies from the SCP office and via this website.
-
The Registrar noted that there are some old versions of forms and information
packets in circulation. If you have application information that is older than 3 months,
contact the office for the most recent material.
-
The Registrar reported that as of May 22, SCP has 207 new full-practising members,
and 74 full-practising members transferred from SPA.
-
The Professional Conduct Committee held its first two meetings on May 8 and May 22.
-
The timeline for elections and the AGM were reviewed. It was decided to aim for a spring
election & AGM (March or April 2003). This timeline allows for membership to stabilize,
policies and procedures to be established, and the financial accounts to be in order and audited.
-
The next meeting of the TC is on June 19, 2002.
