Transitional Council Highlights

Highlights of September 10, 2002 Meeting

Transitional Council met on September 10, 2002 in Regina. Some highlights from that meeting were as follows:

• The Ethics, Professional Practice and Jurisprudence Workshop will be held on October 3 and 4 in Saskatoon.
• We continue to work with other professional bodies to understand how Section 23 of our Act, which makes diagnosis an Authorized Practice, affects them. Ongoing communication will be required.
• A database for the directory listing all members of SCP is being created. The information listed will be confirmed with members prior to printing.
• Some preliminary decisions have been made regarding Spring elections and AGM for the College:
  • Elections will be held using a mail-in ballot. Closing date for ballots will be March 14, 2003.
  • The AGM will be held on March 28, 2003.
• The College will not be requiring Continuing Education Credit for the year of 2002.
• The next regular meeting of the Transitional Council is October 17, 2002.
