 Highlights of October 24, 2009 Meeting

1. Council received a presentation from the PCC. Council approved establishment of an ad hoc committee to look into PCC processes and make recommendations to Executive Council.
2. Council set the AGM date as March 27, 2010. The call for nominations will be November 20, 2009.
3. Council approved motion that for a CPA or APA accredited internship to be accepted in lieu of the 1500 hour supervised practice during the Provisional licensure period, the primary internship supervisor must have been independently licensed as a Psychologist and in good standing in their home jurisdiction for a minimum of 1 year.
4. Council moved approval of the Procedure for Posting of Discipline Decisions to the SCP website.
5. Council approved the following membership for the Ad Hoc Committee on Privacy Issues: Dr. Steven Shaw, Dr. Heather Brenneman, Dr. Larry Shepel, and Dr. Michelle Shaw.
6. K. Messer-Engel reported that there were 499 members of the College. Of these, 404 were full practicing, 58 were provisional, and 37 were non-practicing. There are 10 pending members.
