Executive Council Highlights

 Highlights of November 22, 2008 Meeting

Location: The meeting was called to order at the SCP Office at 10:00 am.

Present: S.Jacobson (President), G.Stevens, J.Curry, L.Vilness, K.Todd, G.Glaicar, C.Schroeder, J.Keller

Other: K.Messer-Engel (Registrar)

1. Council approved the following Council committee appointments: Cathy Fieldgate, Shelley Tamaki, and Leslie Young, all full practice SCP members, to the Nominations Committee.
2. Council approved March 6, 2008 as Polling Day for the 2009 SCP AGM.
3. Council is continuing its work on the Strategic Plan for Governance and the revision and alignment of Council policies
4. K. Messer-Engel reported that there were 494 members of the College. Of these, 404 were full practicing, 54 were provisional, and 36 were non-practicing. There are 8 pending members.
5. Council approved Council committee re-appointments and accepted resignations and removals from SCP membership.
6. Council approved the SCP Office engaging the online/record backup system through “Carbonite”.
7. Upcoming meeting: Executive Council – January 10, 2009 , 10:00 a.m. – 4 p.m.
