 Highlights of May 15, 2010 Meeting

Location: The meeting was called to order at the SCP Office at 10:00 a.m.

1. There are 498 psychologists on the register of the Saskatchewan College of Psychologists.
2. Executive Council welcomes the commitment of Nomination Committee members who have agreed to continue in their valued role.
3. Council reviewed the report of proceedings of the Saskatchewan College of Psychologists' Annual General Meeting prepared by Parliamentarian Randall W. Edge. Overall, the report indicated that the meeting was conducted appropriately. The Parliamentarian's recommendations will be put into information/documents for next AGM. Council is seeking someone among the membership who has this as an area of interest to take on the volunteer role of Parliamentarian for each AGM - training to be provided. This volunteer request will be posted on the website.
4. The Ad Hoc Committee on the role of the Professional Conduct Committee has submitted a proposal to Council to restructure the committee in order to enhance the functioning of the vital committee. This is under review, with budget implications to be examined at Council.
5. The approved Professional Practice Guidelines will be posted on the SCP website and circulated electronically to the membership. Discussion occurred about the development of an in-service for the Guidelines document.
