 Highlights of April 17, 2010 Meeting

Location:The meeting was called to order at the SCP Office at 10:00 a.m.

1. President K. Todd welcomed member and newly appointed Secretary, Rhonda Gough.
2. Executive Council will use the title Professional Practice Guidelines (replacing the title Standards of Conduct) with plans to post the document on the website. Future inservice will be planned in each of Regina and Saskatoon to assist members in use of the guidelines.
3. A drop down tab on the SCP website will be created on which the Professional Conduct Committee will be able to post general information regarding the types and number of complaint cases they are dealing with, and relevant information regarding the investigation/complaint process.
4. Effective April 17, 2010, all new applicants to the Saskatchewan College of Psychologists (SCP) will be required as part of the application process to provide a Criminal Record Check which includes a Vulnerable Sector Search.
