Location:SCP Offices 348 Albert St., Regina
Meeting called to order at 10:07 am.
Present: All Executive members and the Registrar were present. The Chairperson of the Professional Conduct Committee joined the meeting to highlight its report.
- Due to a few requests for making fee payments using a web-based format, the cost of this approach is being explored along with charges for other banking services.
- To prevent confusions in the origin of fee payments, ways of specifying the source of fee disbursements are being examined.
- As the current fiscal year ends, information is being compiled to establish a budget that delineates the basic fiscal operations required for the College.
- The Registrar reported that the College has a total membership of 431, with 79 additional applications in various stages of completion.
- In keeping with the requirements of the national Mutual Recognition Agreement, new and revised procedures and documents were approved for Application, Supervision and obtaining APE designation, to be instituted for the New Year. These documents have been sent to the national CPAP committee for endorsement.
- Formats for use in providing each member with an annual Registration card are being explored. For fees paid on 2005 registrations this card can hopefully be provided as part of the receipt issued.
- In response to the recommendation of the PCC, Council authorized the committee to include up to 9 members to aid in its ability to deal efficiently with its heavy workload. Committee members were thanked for their extensive and faithful work.
- The Nominations Committee has begun its work in preparation for elections being held prior to the March 27th, 2004 AGM. The Annual Meeting will be held in the Ron Mitchell Centre at the 1600 – 4th Ave. Regina Public School Board office.
- As the new Government is in office, renewed attempts are being made to secure the appointments of needed Public Representatives.
- In consultation with SCP legal council and President J. Tom, Health officials were making final preparations to submit recommended Amendments to the Psychologist Act to Stakeholders for consideration.
