Executive Council Highlights
Highlights of February 12, 2005 Meeting
Location: SCP Offices 348 Albert St., Regina
Meeting called to order at 10:10 a.m.
Present: All the Council members were present except for S. Adams

- Planning for the March 19th AGM to be held in Saskatoon at the STF Auditorium, 2317 Arlington Ave. continued.
- An orientation meeting for the new members of the Council was planned for March 19th prior to the AGM. The Committee Chairs are being invited to attend part of the orientation.
- Due to lack of clarity about the time set for Restricted/Provisional Licensure, an amendment was approved to the proposed Bylaws regarding the consequences of failure to complete the registration process within the maximum time period provided.
- Council accepted the draft budget for 2005 presented by J. Curry for presentation at the upcoming AGM. A Contingency Fund was set up to provide for specific legal expenses to which $20,000 a year will be designated.
- In anticipation of rising expenses Annual Registration fees were increased to $600 for Full and Restricted (Provisional) members and $180 for Non-Practicing members for 2006.
- Due to the pressing need to process Oral Examinations in a timely fashion, Council established a specific Oral Examinations Committee to coordinate the processes needed. The Registrar and Deputy Registrar were given the task of developing the required responsibilities.
- Members of the College who are interested in giving leadership in the areas of Oral Examinations as well as the Professional Conduct Committee are being sought.
- The question of the legitimacy of paying a supervisor for supervision was brought before Council. Council agreed that payment for supervisory services by the Restricted (Provisional) Member was acceptable.
The meeting adjourned at 4:00 p.m.
A meeting was tentatively scheduled for March 12th 2005.
